Our Technology

Sibelius

We use Sibelius to produce the highest quality scores and parts with the greatest range of flexibility and compatibility.

Sibeliusí optical music recognition technology (PhotoScore)can generate editable files from printed originals, saving time and money.

Sibeliusí web plug-in (Scorch) allows scores to be viewed and heard online.

Sibelius reads most other music notation formats, including Finale, so you do not need to own Sibelius to provide us with digital files.

With Sibelius, we can offer custom layouts, staves, tablatures, fonts, symbols, graphic elements,... you name it, we can do it.

Hand-Copying

Many professional musicians still prefer to read from professionally hand-copied parts.  While this may seem counter-intuitive, today, there are many reasons why it may be more appropriate for your music to be copied by hand.

Especially for avant-garde chamber music and for jazz charts, intelligibility and clarity can be higher with hand-produced sheet music than with computer-generated sheet music. When musicians are used to the look and feel of manuscript, rehearsal time can be saved by providing them with what they expect.

Hand-copied parts and scores are printed from high-quality scans. We also convert the scans to pdf format so your hand-copied scores can be viewed on-line.
